Video Sign Guide
Teaching baby sign language to your baby and the children you look after can be so rewarding. But you have to learn it first – and that’s where our Video Sign Guide comes in!
We've put our baby signs into categories so they’re easier to search, with some advice to help you get started.
Keep checking back for new signs. If you’ve any suggestions for baby signs you’d like us to add to the Video Sign Guide you can tweet us @ITVBabySign or leave us a message on Facebook.

When you click on a word or phrase you’ll see a video montage of the signs shown from different angles – they are listed in alphabetical order so a phrase like ‘Don’t touch’ will appear under D.
Every sign has a written accompanying text guide, which sometimes refers to the simple handshapes and fingerspelling alphabet used in British Sign Language. These text subtitles can be turned off by clicking on the 'S' symbol on the player.
Right-handed or left-handed?
It doesn’t matter, the written descriptions of the signs are generic for either. Our signers are all right handed, but don’t try to struggle doing signs with your right hand if you’re naturally left-handed – just swap over!
